There are many campsites in the tourist area ‘the Overijssels Vechtdal’. A number of these campsites are entirely aimed at families with small children. These family campsites are rightly also called children’s campsites, because everything is available for them.
Themes
Many family campsites have a theme on and around their campsite and a story that is played by a number of characters. Some children’s campsites even have a theater show with these characters. The decoration of the theme can be found not only in the craft room, but often also on the fields, in the swimming pool, in the restaurant and in the sanitary buildings. There is a busy activities program and plenty of other entertainment.
ANWB/ADAC
Both the ANWB and the German ADAC assess Dutch and foreign campsites. In the Overijssels Vechtdal there are often children’s campsites that score high in the assessment by these tourist organizations. Camping de Kleine Wolf in Ommen, De Beerze Bulten in Beerze, Sprookjescamping De Vechtstreek in Rheeze and Kampeerdorp de Zandstuve have all been nominated for a nice mention and some have even won the title of Camping of the Year or Superplatz.

Beerze Bulten
De Beerze Bulten in Beerze is known as a child-friendly campsite.
